Outlets

The Amico medical gas outlets are designed for gas distribution in centralized areas of hospitals, dental clinics and veterinary facilities; Patient rooms, operating areas, Surgery centers and Dental offices. Outlets are available in four styles:

DISS (Diameter-Index Safety System)
MEDAES®/Ohmeda Compatible (Quick Connect)
Chemetron Compatible (Quick Connect)
Puritan Bennett Compatible (Quick Connect)

All Amico outlets are available in Retro-Fit models.

US and ISO colors are available. Outlets are available for walls, headwalls, consoles, ceilings and ceiling columns.

Ambulance Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Medical Outlets are also available in several configurations, including: "Passive" and "Terminating" applications with DISS or Hose Barb back connections.

Alarm Systems

The *Amico ALERT-2 medical gas alarm is used by hospital personnel to monitor gas pressures and vacuum levels of the medical gas pipeline. All gases or vacuum levels are displayed with large red LED's for clear visibility, readable even in dim lighting conditions.
A trend bar is provided to show the direction of the gas/vacuum pressure.

Pressure:
HIGH - 60psi / LOW - 40psi / Normal - 50psi

Nitrogen:
HIGH - 195psi / LOW - 140psi / Normal 165psi

Vacuum:
LOW - 12 inHg / Normal - 20 inHg
Master alarms monitor source equipment, such as: Air Compressors, Vacuum Pumps, High/Low Pressure Switches, Manifolds and other pipeline devices. Up to 60 devices can be monitored on each alarm.

Alarms are available in Retro-Fit models.

Manifolds

The Amico medical gas manifold is an automatic, regulating gas management system. The primary use is to reduce gas cylinder pressure into normal working pressure. This allows the Manifold to provide uninterrupted gas flow to the hospital.

Manifolds are fully automatic and are available in high pressure and liquid configurations.

Zone Valves

Amico's Zone Valve Boxes (like all Amico products) are built with quality in mind. Each valve includes a large color-coded gas identification label strategically placed for the highest degree of visibility. Zone valve boxes can be configured to hold 1 to 6 valves with or without monitoring gauges. Isolation valves are available with an optional purge port.

Gas Control Panels

The Amico gas control panel is designed to power surgical instruments in operating rooms. The gas control panels are available for use with Nitrogen or Medical Air. A large control knob located in the center of the unit allows hospital personnel to regulate the output pressure and hence control the pressure delivered to the instrument.

Amico gas control panels are available in Retro-Fit models.

Amico Information Management System

The Amico Information Management System (AIMS) is intended to provide real time information to hospital personnel on the status of all the medical gas devices.

AIMS is a computerized network management system which will scan every device in a hospital and display it on the screen of a host PC.

In the event an alarm condition occurs, the scanning of all devices stop and the device, which is in an "alarm condition", is displayed continuously. AIMS will support up to 256 devices connected by a twisted pair cable.

Pipeline Accessories

Amico manufactures various pipeline accessories which complete the installation process. These products allow for conformance to medical standards and guidelines and have been cleaned for oxygen service. Amico Pipeline accessories are ready to combine with our full line of products, allowing for ease of installation.

EMS Products

Amico is the largest manufacturer of gas products for the EMS market in the U.S. The products have been designed to integrate seamlessly in the ambulance and are rugged in order to withstand the harsh environment encountered in ambulances. Amico offers a vast selection of digital monitors, outlets, rough-back assemblies, fittings, and high pressure gauges.

Freedom Series Ceiling Columns

Amico ceiling columns provide gas and electrical power to an operating room in one convenient and centralized location. The columns are available in Rigid, Manual Retractable and Motorized Retractable styles.

The stainless steel external panels are designed for ease of cleaning and aesthetic purposes. Up to 12 outlets and 12 receptacles can be used per column.

Retractable ceiling columns increase management of overcrowded areas when supplying medical gas and electrical services. When not in use, the columns can be easily stored by raising the telescopic portion, thus avoiding possible accidental contact with medical personnel.

Select Series Consoles

Wall mounted console units are used by hospitals as a convenient way to access and display electrical and gas outlets.

The aesthetic appearance of an anodized aluminum frame, coupled with the modular design of the outlets, allows hospital personnel to administer gases or to use secondary equipment with great ease.

Freedom Series Floor Pedestals

Amico floor pedestals are used in operating rooms where ceiling space for ceiling columns is limited. The compact design allows gas and electrical services to be placed in a convenient location that is accessible when required and isolated when not in use.

The pedestal is constructed from stainless steel for ease of cleaning and for aesthetic appearance. An access panel is added to each pedestal so that outlets and electrical can be easily serviced.

Retro-fit Products

The Retro-Fit process allows you to update and convert your old Medical Gas Equipment to new Amico equipment. This can be done without breaking the pipeline or cutting into the existing wall. Amico’s Retro-Fits are designed to use the existing back body of the previous product.

This allows you to maintain the original configuration while improving both the functionality and aesthetic appearance of the equipment.
